The Camp Down Hooded Jacket is the latest addition to the popular lightweight down collection. The quilted fancy ripstop nylon shell provides protection on those early shoulder season evenings. The warmth of premium, 750 fill power, Canadian Hutterite down insulation combined with the hood makes for added warmth against the chill of the air
CANADA GOOSE DOWN
Canada Goose uses proprietary blends of premium down which have been developed through 50 years of experience. Canada Goose uses three custom blends of down, where the blend is a percentage of down versus feathers: 750 fill power Canadian Hutterite white duck down (90/10 blend), 675 fill power Canadian white goose down (80/20 blend) and 625 fill power Canadian white duck down (80.20 blend). Canada Goose does NOT use any down from live-plucking. Feathers Industries Canada Limited, Canada Goose's ONLY supplier of down, has a longstanding Corporate Policy on NEVER purchasing any duck or goose down or feather materials that have been harvested by live-plucking.
750 FILL POWER DOWN INSULATION
Down is a natural insulator with a high warmth-to-weight ratio. It is produced from a layer of fine feathers found under the tougher exterior feathers of ducks or geese. Down offers excellent thermal properties, has good lofting characteristics and traps small pockets of air efficiently, which creates a thermal barrier. Down insulation is rated by fill power, measured as the number of cubic inches displaced by a given ounce of down (in/oz). Higher fill-power down will insulate better than lower fill-power down of the same weight. The down insulation in this product has a fill power of 750in/oz.
NYLON
The first completely synthetic fiber developed. Known for its high strength and excellent resilience, nylon has superior abrasion resistance and high flexibility.
POLYESTER
A synthetic fiber that features quick drying time, high strength, abrasion resistance, and crease resistance; frequently blended with cotton, rayon, or other synthetics.
RIPSTOP
Fabric woven with double thread at regular intervals to achieve small squares that prevent tears from spreading. Usually a nylon or polyester. Used for outerwear, sleeping bags, kites, packs, and tents. Ripstop was originally used in parachutes and sails.
DWR (DURABLE WATER REPELLENT)
Durable water repellent treatments protect fabrics from moisture saturation.
